Welcome to East Kentwood Freshman Campus!

At East Kentwood Freshman Campus, our mission is to create a supportive and engaging environment where every 9th grader can begin their high school journey with confidence and success. As students join us from a variety of middle schools, we are intentional about helping them build a strong sense of community and identity as a class.

Our school is grounded in the practices of Capturing Kids’ Hearts and Restorative Practices, which guide us in creating meaningful connections, building trust, and fostering a positive culture. We also provide a wide range of academic and social-emotional support to ensure that each student’s needs are met—helping them grow as learners and as individuals.

The East Kentwood Freshman Campus, together with parents and the community, will educate all students in a safe, secure environment. We are committed to excellence, equity and diversity in education. Our goal is for each student to master and apply the essential skills to be a successful, productive citizen.

Belief Statement

We provide a stimulating learning environment that is clean, safe and orderly with an emphasis on academic achievement nurtured by positive relationships. We also emphasize ethical literacy since our students' success as adults will rely upon their intrinsic honesty, integrity, and trustworthiness. Our goal is for every one of our students to feel academically, emotionally, and socially connected to the total school program.
