Communication Department Excellence and Equity in Education

Welcome to the Kentwood Public Schools Communication Department

Kentwood Public Schools is committed to supporting students, families, staff, and community members through strong and consistent communication. Effective communication is one of the cross-cutting themes in our district’s strategic plan, highlighting the important role communication plays across the board in the work we do in KPS to ensure success in all areas for our students.

School Messenger

School Messenger is an important way the district and schools communicate with families. Part of School Messenger includes receiving texts from your child’s school, teacher, or the district regarding important information. Please go to the SchoolMessenger page to get more information on how to sign up for School Messenger.

Telling the Stories of KPS

Kentwood Public Schools is the most diverse district in the state of Michigan and in the top 5 for diversity in the nation. There is a strong tradition of excellence in our district thanks to our amazing students, dedicated staff, and supportive community. The KPS Communication Department is committed to telling these stories. Stories are shared in a variety of ways including on the district’s website, through monthly editions of Kentwood School News, and also on the district’s Facebook page.
