Welcome to Health Services

Welcome to KPS Health Services! The Health Services team works to ensure that all students with health conditions are given quality care and access to treatments while at school.  They also help address injuries or illnesses that may occur throughout the school day. It is our goal to keep students in school and provide them with medical support that can accomplish this. We partner with parents and students to ensure their safety is a top priority.

Parents and guardians play a huge role in advocating for and helping us manage students' medical needs at school. This starts with online enrollment and taking time to thoroughly fill out the health section so we know what conditions or needs your student may have.

Advanced Procedures & Medical Considerations

If your student requires advanced procedures at school such as tube feeds, catheterization, ostomy care, trach/vent care, or other support please consider reaching out to your building nurse as well as our Special Education nurse, Sarah Dietrich, sarah.dietrich@kentwoodps.org.

These procedures often require a different consent form than our medication consent and the nurse can work with you to ensure we have all proper documentation needed. The nursing team will also ensure that staff are adequately trained to provide the appropriate care at school.
