Parent/Teacher Council (PTC)

Discovery Elementary’s Parent Teacher Committee (PTC).... Who are we?

The PTC is a group of parents that works with school staff to provide resources and fun to our kids and our school. In the past, the PTC has organized and/or provided funding or partial funding for:

  • Playground Equipment
  • School/Office/Science Supplies
  • Fun Run
  • Holiday Shop
  • Popcorn Days
  • Princess Prom
  • Son Plus Fun One
  • Teacher Appreciation Week
  • Teacher Open House Meals / Food
  • Teacher Reimbursement
  • Discovery Scholarship
  • Classroom Parties
  • 5th Grade Graduation
  • 4th Grade Lansing Trip
  • Fundraisers

And so many more!

Organize an Event: If you are a party planner at heart, pick an event and make it your own!

Volunteer: We are always in need of volunteers for events and activities.

Support: Donate, help raise money, and/or attend our events.

New Ideas: Something not on the list? Maybe it could be - especially if you’re willing to run it!

PTC Meetings - Join us the 2nd Thursday of the month at 6:00pm for PTC Meetings! Come get involved, stay in the know and be a part of your child's elementary experience! A virtual option will be available as well, contact us for the link.
