Parent/Teacher Council (PTC)
Discovery Elementary’s Parent Teacher Committee (PTC).... Who are we?
The PTC is a group of parents that works with school staff to provide resources and fun to our kids and our school. In the past, the PTC has organized and/or provided funding or partial funding for:
- Playground Equipment
- School/Office/Science Supplies
- Fun Run
- Holiday Shop
- Popcorn Days
- Daddy/Daughter Dance
- Mother/Son Night
- Grandparents’ Day
- Ice Cream Social
- Science / Reading Nights
- Teacher Appreciation Week
- Teacher Open House Meals / Food
- Teacher Reimbursement
- Discovery Scholarship
- Classroom Parties
- 5th Grade Camp and Graduation
- 4th Grade Lansing Trip
- Fundraisers
And so many more!

Organize an Event: If you are a party planner at heart, pick an event and make it your own!
Volunteer: We are always in need of volunteers for events and activities.
Support: Donate, help raise money, and/or attend our events.
New Ideas: Something not on the list? Maybe it could be - especially if you’re willing to run it!

PTC Meetings - Join us the 2nd Tuesday of the month at 6:00pm for PTC Meetings! Come get involved, stay in the know and be a part of your child's elementary experience! A virtual option will be available as well, contact us for the link.
Other Activities and Programs at Discovery include:
- Discovery Elementary houses the district PEAKS program (Parents, Educators, and Kids = Success) which offers an option for academically talented students who prefer an alternative to the traditional learning environment.
