Dear Families,
Welcome to our Challenger Elementary School website! My name is Teressa Gatza and I am honored to be the principal at Challenger. Challenger has a family-like atmosphere with a highly qualified and dedicated staff, wonderful students, and supportive parents. We believe that relationships are crucial for academic and social growth. Our entire staff is trained in Capturing Kids Hearts, a program that has given our staff tools to create highly effective classrooms by enhancing healthy relationships with students and establishing collaborative norms of acceptable behavior.
In addition to building relationships, Challenger sets high academic expectations for ALL students. We have the deep rooted belief that ALL students can learn and meet high expectations. We differentiate instruction and utilize productive group work in every lesson. We strive to create and develop life-long learners and problem solvers.
