Discovery Elementary houses the district P.E.A.K.S. (Parents, Educators, and Kids = Success) program which offers an option for academically talented students who prefer an alternative to the traditional learning environment. Discovery also houses the district ECSE (Early Childhood Special Education) program with Meadowlawn Elementary.

Discovery has a very active PTC (Parent/Teacher Council) that supports many activities here at Discovery such as:

  • Fundraising
  • Discovery Carnival
  • Field Trips (Supporting Kentwood Public Schools Curriculum)
  • Annual Father/Daughter Dance and Mother/Son Night
  • Mileage Spring Running/Walking Club
  • Popcorn Day

  • Good Character Traits-Monthly Themes with Lunch with the Principal sponsored by the Broadmoor Burger King
  • Writing to a "Tea" sharing with Mrs. McNally and Ms. Coup
  • Junior Achievement
  • Mobile Dentist Visits
