7th & 8th grade ATHLETICS

Over the past 5 years, our Athletic Director, Anthony Gordon, and our faithful coaches have worked to build up our program, encouraging high academic standards and strong, ethical sportsmanship. If you have any questions, you may reach our Athletic Office by calling (616) 455-1200 select Option 3.

Physicals:

All athletes must have a current physical - dated after April 15 of the previous school year - on file in the school Athletic Office before they will be allowed to tryout, practice, or compete in any sport.

Pay-to-Participate:

The one-time fee to participate in any sport is $60 (Cash or Money Order).

This fee, along with a completed Pay-to-Participate Form, must be submitted before an athlete will be allowed to compete in any sport.

The fee covers paricipation in all sports listed below for the entire school year. 

PTP Scholarships:

If an athlete qualifies for free school meals the $60 fee is waived.

If an athlete qualifies for reduced-pay school meals the fee is $30 (Cash or Money Order).

A Pay-to-Participate Form must be completed and submitted, along with Reduced Fee (if applicable) before an athlete will be allowed to compete in any sport.

**Please note that other miscellaneous costs (such as equipment and/or apparel) are not covered by the Pay-to-Participate fees or Scholarships.

The K.I.D.S. program offers sessions throughout the year in a variety of sports for various age groups from Kindergarten through 8th Grade. Any questions can be directed to Kathleen Johnson in the EKHS Athletic Office at 698-6700 Ext. 74560.
