Academic Boosters

The East Kentwood High School Academic Boosters, one of the first of its kind in Michigan, was organized in 1982 in order to foster and recognize academic excellence among East Kentwood students.

The club is comprised of dedicated parents and community members.  Meetings are held the third Tuesday of every other month (September, November, January, March, May) during the school year.  

The organization raises funds for scholarships through donations.   These tax-deductible gifts can be from individuals, local businesses and/or corporations.  We also organize special fund raising projects throughout the year.

Last year, the club awarded three scholarships:  Community Service Award, Leadership Award, Top Scholar Award.  There is also a special award for the graduating senior who has improved his/her grade point average the most during his/her career at EKHS.  

In addition, our outstanding and hardworking students receive awards with numerous certificates of excellence, academic letters, and lamps of learning pins.
