| What is
Kentwood Band and Orchestra Boosters?
The Kentwood Band and Orchestra Boosters (KBOB) is an organized group of parents who provides support for the instrumental music
students in the Kentwood Public Schools. These parents meet bimonthly to discuss fundraising activities, upcoming
instrumental events, and other matters relating to the success of the music program.
“KBOB” provides parent support for Kentwood Middle and High School instrumental music programs. There are over 900 students
registered within this program.
Each Band/Orchestra student has an account in KBOB called the
“Student Account”. KBOB maintains these accounts to assist
students in the KPS instrumental music program with some of the
expenses related to participation in instrumental music. A
portion of money raised by each student on selected fundraisers
throughout the year is deposited into these Student Accounts to
help for band camp, private lessons, music camps, uniforms, and
trips.
Fundraisers are sponsored periodically throughout the school year
to help raise money for the KBOB budget as well as help students
to earn “Student Account” money.
VOLUNTEERS are the heart of this organization. We need every one
to sign up to help in one or two areas that interest you. Pick
up a
Volunteer Form and turn it in today!
