Fitness Programs At KPS Aquatorium

We offer a wide variety of fitness classes for you to choose from that take place both morning, evening and now even at night! Majority of our classes minus the deep water classes take place in our therapy/community pool, where the water is kept between 84-88 degrees. Below are the descriptions to all of our fitness classes, as well as a downloadable schedule and the descriptions.

Rise & Shine Aerobics:

This class is for both the early bird risers and the sleepy morning sand baggers. This class will for sure give you a great aerobic workout while also making sure that get woken up and ready for your day!

Class is Held:   Monday, Wednesday, Friday          6:00 a.m. - 6:52 a.m.          

 

Low Impact Water Exercise:

This is an exercise class that implements the 5 components of physical fitness: aerobic fitness, muscle strength, muscle endurance, flexibility, and body composition. This class is taught at lower impacting level keeping in mind of the different joints and muscles that we are working on.  

Class is Held:   Monday, Wednesday, Friday          7:30 a.m. - 8:22 a.m.  

 

Arthritis Plus:

 Arthritis Foundation Aquatic Program this exercise program includes exercises and activities, which when preformed at a low to moderate rate of intensity, improve muscular strength and endurance.  Workouts include exercises to improve overall function and performance of daily tasks, mobility, gait, independence, flexibility, balance and coordination.

Class is Held: Monday, Wednesday, Friday          8:30 a.m. - 9:22 a.m.

 

Low Impact Water Aerobics:

 This class will get your body moving and your Pulse going! Water Aerobic workouts involve a variety of rhythmic body movements and dance steps performed in the water. This class will help to improve your cardiovascular conditioning, balance, strength and flexibility leading to a better muscular tone. This class is taught at lower impacting level than the medium impact water aerobics class as we strengthen and improve our balance and range of motion with our own body. 

Class is Held:    Monday, Wednesday, Friday          9:30 a.m. - 10:22 a.m.

 

Deep Water Aerobics:

 Very similar to the Water Aerobics, but the entire workout is held in our deep water pool. Participants are assisted by water flotation belts, ankle floats and water weights.  Get an intense, cardio workout without the impact to bones and joints.

Class is Held:     Monday, Wednesday, Friday          10:30 a.m. - 11:22 a.m.

 

Medium Impact Water Aerobics:

 This class will get your heart pounding and your body moving! Water Aerobic workouts involve a variety of rhythmic body movements and dance steps performed in the water. This class will help to improve your cardiovascular conditioning, strength and flexibility leading to a better muscular tone.

Class is Held:     Monday, Wednesday, Friday    4:08p.m. - 5:00 p.m.

 

 

Water Exercise:

 This low impact, moderate intensity water excercise class implements the 5 components of physical fitness: aerobic fitness, muscle strength, muscle endurance, flexibility and body composition.  Ideal for active seniors.

Class is Held:       Monday, Wednesday, Friday          5:00 p.m. - 5:52 a.m.   

 

 

Water Fitness:

 This Class is set up so that you can come and get a good fitness workout in the water. Come on in and meet new people, as we not only keep our bodies in shape and fit but also our minds, getting the chance to socialize with many other people in the local community.  

Class is Held:    Tuesday and Thursday          8:30 a.m. - 9:22 a.m. 

 

 

Medium Impact Water Fitness:

 This Class is set up so that you can come on in and get a good heart beating fitness workout in the water. Help improve your cardiovascular conditioning, strength, balance and flexibility leading to a better muscular tone.

Class is Held:    Tuesday and Thursday          9:30 a.m. - 10:22 a.m. 

 

 

Deep Water Boot Camp:

 This class will get your heart a pounding and your body moving as we take deep water aerobics to a whole new level. This class is a vigorous workout that strengthens and shapes your body into tip top shape!

Class is Held:    Tuesday and Thursday          10:30 a.m. - 11:22 a.m. 

 

 

Water Aerobics & Cardio:

 This class is designed so that you can come in and get rid of the stress that you may have accumulated through out the day. Not only will you benefit from the heart pounding body moving aerobic workout, but also having the cardio portion added into this class is a guarantee to make sure you get a hard effective workout in to finish your day.

Class is Held:  Thursday ONLY         7:50 p.m. - 8:42 p.m. 

 Aqua Zumba:

This class is going to make you shake, shimmy, and sizzle in the water as we create some heat, Zumba. Style! This class is a fast paced, hard kick butt workout, working every muscle in your body!

Class is Held:   Tuesday Only           7:50p.m. - 8:42 p.m.
