Kentwood Aquatic Center

The Aquatic Center will be closed all day Saturday, May 18. We will reopen Sunday at 12 PM for open swim. 

Newly renovated and opened in 2006, the aquatics center features state of the art facilities.  The center features three different areas that appeal to all ages: 

• The 83 degree pool is perfect for arthritic, elderly or physically challenged swimmer.  Or, it is simply great for those who like their water a little warmer.
• The shallow pool is perfect for families with small children.
• And of course, the center features a full size competition pool as well as a diving pool that supports all competitive water sports that are available in our district. 

* Severe Weather Policy:  The pool will cleared of all participants if lightning is seen.  We will wait 30 minutes after every strike.  While we are not closed, we will not allow folks in the water.  We also clear the pool if we are in a Severe Thunderstorn Warning.  We CLOSE the pool if there is a Tornado Warning.  Also, in winter or misc. closings, if either the Kentwood Public Schools main page or the WOOD TV 8 scroll shows Kentwood Public Schools closed, all pool activities are as well.
