Kentwood Aquatics Center - Arthritis Class
The classes above are for the Nov 2 to Dec 13 session. Click here for a registration form.
The Arthritis Aquatics Program for adults is a recreational exercise program designed to accommodate the abilities of individuals with arthritis and other related afflictions (each person exercises at his or her own pace). These programs are taught in a group setting with activities and exercises to encourage self care, provide social interaction, and help to improve strength, endurance, and flexibility. This class will help you to maintain independence, manage pain, and help relieve the symptoms of arthritis.
The Arthritis PLUS Aquatics Program is not a water aerobics program, but does include intensity and resistance variations. Exercises are performed at a low to moderate rate of intensity to reduce the incidence of injury yet improves muscular strength and endurance.
